The Jewish Community Board of Akron is a volunteer association of concerned and committed people that exists for the purpose of preserving, enhancing and perpetuating the Jewish way of life.

Jerry Shaw Jewish Community Center of Akron
Founded in 1929, the Jewish Community Center of Akron is a cornerstone of the Jewish community. The Shaw JCC strengthens Jewish identity and family life through services to its members, as well as to the total community. It offers recreational, cultural, informal educational and social activities from preschool age through older adults. Health and physical education departments serve all age groups.

Jewish Family Services in Akron
Jewish Family Service was founded in 1913. Whether in individual or family counseling, serving the needs of the aged at home or in Jewish homes for the aged, in adoption, immigrant resettlement and in family life education, Jewish Family Service continues its mission to serve the needs of our community.
