A Fundamental Alliance Between School & Family
All parents are participants in their children's education, and their investment in the
learning process reaps untold benefits throughout their children's lives.
The cooperative parent-school relationship is vital to the school's continued development,
direction, and success.
From their first orientation to their children's graduation and beyond, parents find
Lippman Day School partnering with them to create a safe, caring, and enlightening
learning environment. Successful school milestones - such as M'Dor L'Dor
"Grandparents Day," an inter-generational event - as well as critical day-to-day
activities (including hot lunch, field trips, festivals, and more) are the direct
result of parents' dedication and enthusiasm.
The official ParenTeam Organization, to which all
Lippman Day School parents belong, actively supports school curriculum, events,
committees, and special projects. ParenTeam is an essential fund-raising body
fueled by Lippman Day School parents' energy and resources. ParenTeam is
instrumental in driving many of the school's development activities.
The ParenTeam Organization
The purpose of ParenTeam is to foster a close relationship between home and school
which allows parents and teachers to cooperate in the education and welfare of our
children. We develop and implement programs throughout the year, for our children,
related to safety, health, education, special events and holidays.
ParenTeam is an organization similar to PTA but without dues.
Every parent who has a child attending Lippman is automatically a member
of the ParenTeam. Although you are a member you are not obligated to participate.
Parents voluntarily participate in ParenTeam at varying levels based on their unique
schedules and talents.
ParenTeam meets on Wednesdays, alternating between morning and evening meetings,
beginning in September. Meetings typically last one hour. We discuss and plan for upcoming events
and fund-raisers. We actively participate in a variety of fun initiatives for our children,
such as Birthday Club, Pancake Breakfast, Staff Appreciation Week, a Chanukah party,
and reward parties for the students. The following meeting times are planned for this year.
- October 7, 8:45 a.m.
- November 2, 7:30 p.m.
- December 7, 8:45 a.m.
- January 4, 7:30 p.m.
- February 1, 8:45 a.m.
- February 22, 7:30 p.m.
- April 5, 8:45 a.m.
- May 10, time TBD - installation of new officers
Fund-raisers are a necessary part of any school. We try to keep ours to a minimum.
ParenTeam selects a set of fund-raisers for each school year. We always include
some ongoing fund-raisers that are of no cost to the parents.
Follow the links below for more detail. If you have any questions,
please contact one of the ParenTeam officers.
We love to have parents involved and understand that some are able to participate more
than others. We hope you will be able to get involved in a way that best compliments your
schedule and abilities.
