The Lippman Experience
The Lippman experience is a journey of discovery that incorporates a dynamic educational
environment where scholastic excellence is pursued and fostered.
Impassions Them for Life-long Discovery:
Throughout the curriculum, Lippman Day School actively emphasizes the development of
self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-direction. Children are embraced in an environment
that enables them to meaningfully express their uniqueness and exuberant creativity.
Together with our caring parents and staff, we foster a family environment where
children are safe and free to discover their distinctive potential. Lippman is a
community experience which cultivates our children to become dynamic leaders grounded in their
values and committed to good citizenship.
Individualized Attention: Small class sizes are lead by credentialed teachers and teaching assistants using the most advanced instructional techniques. Throughout the educational path, the children are challenged and provided thought-provoking experiences at each grade level.
Foundations for Values: Lippman Day School integrates Torah teachings and values into the curriculum in a way that allows students to find personal meaning within the text. Jewish holidays, history, values, and texts are integrated into various aspects of the curriculum and school calendar. Students learn Modern Hebrew, as a living language. Hebrew comes alive through art, plays, and musical activities complementing their educational path.
Personalized Curriculum: Because we understand that children have unique learning styles - including tactile, visual, and auditory - Lippman Day School employs specialists to compliment each child's unique approach to learning. In addition to the in-class teaching staff, students benefit from enrichment specialists in a variety of academic areas. With a focus on expanding and enhancing the curriculum, they provide expert guidance in: science and technology studies; accelerated math programs; library and research skills; art technique and appreciation; drama; performing arts; instrumental music; and physical education.
Personalized Support:
Based on the recommendation from the National Association of School Psychologists, Lippman uses a collaborative approach for supporting students. In the Intervention Assistance Team process (IAT), students receive support whenever the need arises. If parents or teachers become concerned about an academic or behavioral area, either may request the team to form to discuss the matter and to develop an intervention plan addressing the needs of the child.
Through the auxiliary services of the public school system, Lippman utilizes the expertise
of a psychologist and speech therapist to help the team develop appropriate strategies.
The team is comprised of the child's parents, teachers, school psychologist and speech
pathologist, if needed, as well as an administrator.
Our school's psychologist coordinates the IAT meetings.
Lippman Day School utilizes standardized testing for tracking and evaluating comprehension and skills appropriate at each grade level. In addition to developing students' test-taking skills, this allows teachers and administrators to optimally assess, focus, and guide students in their academic progress in a more individualized fashion.
