The Library/Media Center is central to Lippman's educational program. Elementary School students visit the Library for scheduled classes, where they are introduced to the rich world of literature and our many library-research sources.
The environment within the Library Research program encourages each child:
- to formulate search strategies using the many resources in the media center
- to develop skills in locating, selecting, and effectively using appropriate print and non-print materials for classroom use, for their own information, and for the pleasure of learning
- to explore their Jewish religion and heritage through literature and non-fiction materials
- to effectively communicate using computer and other technology resources
- to comprehend and value many types of media for information and enjoyment

Gifting a Book:
Many parents and friends of Lippman have made the library collection what it is today by giving books in honor of birthdays, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and other special events. The honoree may select their book from the library wish list. A dedication card is then placed in the new library book. Donors are recognized in the weekly Gesher. If you would like to give in this fashion, provide to the school office with the Lippman Fund Donation Form found at the bottom of this page.
