The Lippman School and Shaw JCC Annual Auction raises a significant amount of funds for our school. We host the annual auction in collaboration with the Shaw JCC and surrounding community. It culminates in a wonderful, fun-filled evening out.
The 2009 Jerome Lippman Community Day School/Shaw JCC Annual Fundraiser took place on Saturday, November 14. The theme was "Together We Can Change the World". The highlights were:
- Special Honorees: The 2009 special honorees were Pam & Joe Kanfer and Stan Bober for their incredible dedication to the Akron Jewish community.
- Patron Pre Party: Patrons were invited to attend an hour before the event to preview silent and oral auction items, enjoy hors d'oeuvres and champagne while conversing with special honorees and donors.
- New for 2009 - Lippman Classroom Projects: Parent Teacher Team funded the purchase of furniture that was custom decorated by the students in each class, assisted by seniors and other volunteers.
If you would like to volunteer, contribute and/or donate to next year's exciting and important event there are many opportunities available including:
- Table Ambassadors - promote the event and recruit 6-8 or more attendees to sit at their (or another) table.
- Special Honorees Well Wishes - Send well wishes or donate in the name of next year's special honorees for their incredible dedication to the Akron Jewish community. Well wishes and contributions will appear in next year's event program. Forms will be included in the invitation and will be available for download.
- Patron Pre Party - Patrons will be invited to attend an hour before next year's event scheduled commencement to preview silent and oral auction items, enjoy hors d'oeuvres and champagne while conversing with next year's special honorees and donors. Patron opportunities will be included in the invitation and will be available for download.
- Auction Underwriting - Donations will be used to purchase in demand electronics and toys which will be sold in the auction. Donors will receive recognition for their contribution in next year's event program.
- Securing or donating a fabulous live auction item - Among the items we will be looking to secure for next year's auction are: vacation homes, getaways, unique experiences, or donating a fabulous live auction item. Also gourmet dinners, fine jewelry and big-ticket electronics and more are well received auction items!
- Advertising - Purchase an advertisement in next year's event program.
